Volunteer Gallery Engager
Are you passionate about art, history, or nature? Do you enjoy connecting with people and creating meaningful experiences? Join our team as a Volunteer Gallery Engager and help bring our exhibitions to life!
As a Gallery Engager, you will play a key role in welcoming visitors, sparking conversations, and enhancing their understanding and enjoyment of our collections. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in a museum or gallery setting, develop public engagement skills, and be part of a vibrant, creative community.
In this role, you'll greet and assist visitors within the gallery spaces, engage guests in conversations about artefacts and exhibitions, and provide accurate information in response to visitor questions. You'll also help ensure a positive, inclusive, and safe visitor experience while supporting wayfinding and visitor flow as needed.
We're looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about art, culture, or education, and who possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. A friendly, approachable, and reliable demeanor is essential, as is a comfort with speaking to individuals and small groups. No prior museum experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Flexible scheduling is available, with weekend and holiday availability especially appreciated. Training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and supported in the role.
