Kendal Museum features natural history and archaeology collections from Cumbria and beyond. The World Wildlife Gallery highlights conservation issues, showcasing animals, birds, and insects from across the globe and is one of the largest taxidermy collections in the UK.

Our Kendal and Westmorland Gallery offers local social history and archaeological treasures, including a display on Alfred Wainwright and a Cabinet of Curiosities. The People’s Gallery, on the lower level, presents contemporary art in an historic setting, focusing on diverse art forms and local themes to engage and reflect the community.
