Bethan is an illustrator and designer, with experience in branding, events and social media. Her personal practice drawing and lettering centric practice builds a bridge between modernity and nature. By observing natural phenomenon and responding to popular culture and social history, her approach is cumulative of her studies in Art History, Curating and Graphic Design. She believes in building networks among small, personal and local businesses to uplift society with positive, grass-roots development and creative exchange. Recently, she has focused these efforts in Folded Zine, an online hub for young Cumbrian artists. With an aim to bring the high arts down to earth, she hopes to help bring the wonderful natural and historical collections at Kendal Museum to a young, planet-conscious audience.
